Himani Shah (Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist, Certified Dry Needling Practitioner)

Himani loves her life and big part of her life is her work. She enjoys working with people and helping them get better in their daily functions. For her, seeing her patients progress is very rewarding and that keeps her motivated to do more and beyond for her patients. She obtained her Physiotherapist degree from India and then moved to Canada to explore the cold part of the world. Her love for mountains and nature ended her up to Rocky Mountain House.

Himani is a certified Pelvic floor therapist. She also is certified to perform Dry Needling/IMS technique and incorporates needles to uplift the over all effect of care. In her treatment, Himani incorporates manual therapy, different types of modalities, Active therapy (exercise program). She believes education plays an important role in her patient’s recovery and it is a key part of her therapy. She also treats Musculo-skeletal injuries and pain, TMJ pain, sports injuries. She works at both of our locations in Rocky and Sundre.

Himani has also completed her Yoga Teacher Training Course from India and in her pass time, she enjoys practising it. She is a nature lover and enjoys spending time hiking and camping in the mountains.

I have had the pleasure of living and working in Rocky Mountain House for over twenty years.  I first worked at the clinic and then changed for awhile as my children were growing. I have a love for learning and have enjoyed adding acupuncture and many other avenues to my professional world.  I have a particular passion for pediatrics and continue to work in a variety of settings for mobility, exercise, equipment and play.

Carla lives life passionately and loves to help others obtain optimal health naturally. Her clinical success rate is so high, that people from all over the world reach out to her for guidance. She weaves together a wide variety of modalities to get the results her patients are looking for.

For over 39 years she has been in private practice as a Physiotherapist and Registered Acupuncturist with a Pediatric Specialty. Carla has served as an examiner for the Alberta Provincial Acupuncture Licensing Exam, a government-appointed member of the Alberta Acupuncture Committee and a guest lecturer in the University of Alberta, Medical Acupuncture Program.

Together with her best friend/husband and business partner Bill, they have 4 amazing children age 27-34 and 3 grandchildren age 1-3.

Sherri is the glue that keeps our clinic together and functioning like a well oiled machine. We have enjoyed her incredible organizational skills as office manager for over 13 years. Outside of work Sherri is an incredible chef and dazzles us every year with a delicious December dinner celebration. She loves photography and takes some amazing scenery and landscape pictures.

Ramsiya Anjilimootil Ismail, Physiotherapist (Sundre)

Ramsiya is a Physiotherapy graduate who has a special focus and expertise in musculoskeletal pain management and treatment with excellent results in meeting patient expectations to achieve their goals. Her approach to patient care is characterized by compassion, open communication, and individualized treatment plans. Patients can be expected to be an active participants in their healthcare decisions and plan of care. She also has an experience in providing comprehensive rehabilitation for patients after orthopedic, neurological and cardiovascular surgeries. Her treatment plan includes manual therapy, patient education, individualized exercise program and using various modalities like TENS, IFT, Ultrasound, Cupping, IASTM, etc. She brings with her 7+ years of experience in the field of physiotherapy from India and the Middle East (Dubai Health Authority-DHA). She speaks English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil.

Kelsey Leuker, Registered Massage Therapist (Sundre)

Kelsey is passionate about helping people live better. She provides therapeutic massage treatments for pain, injuries, recovery, general maintenance, and athletic performance. She graduated with honors from a 2200-hour program in Calgary in 2012, and since then has taken more specific training in treatments for a range of conditions including TMJD, MVA neck injuries, low back and hip complaints, pregnancy and postnatal care, and myofascial release. When not in the clinic, Kelsey enjoys homeschooling and homesteading with her husband and 4 children, and adventuring outdoors.

Alexandra is an RMT who was born and raised in Peru and moved to Alberta in 2013. In 2016 she moved to Sundre and had her training at the MCG Career College in Red Deer, since then she has worked in different clinics and spa settings. She specializes in Therapeutic massage, Deep tissue massage, Swedish, Pre-Natal, Geriatric massage,Hot stone therapy, Dynamic Cupping , Assisted Stretching therapy.

In all these years she has learnt that  Massage is not only enjoyable, but also clinically proven for pain relief, decreasing inflammation and facilitating natural healing processes.

Kaustubh is a passionate physiotherapist driven by a love for sports, particularly cricket. His enthusiasm for exercise and rehabilitation has led him to pursue a career dedicated to helping patients recover and reach their full potential.
With a strong academic background, Kaustubh has completed his physiotherapy degree in India and holds certifications in Kinesiology Taping, Health and Fitness Specialist (ACSM), and McKenzie Spinal Mobilization.
Prior to joining Rocky Mountain House Physiotherapy, Kaustubh gained valuable experience working at NABH-accredited Sterling Hospital in India and KG Fitness and Rehab Center. His commitment to patient care and continuous learning has made him a valuable asset to our team.

Anthony graduated in 1996 from the Physiotherapy program at the University of Western Ontario, and has 26 years of clinical experience in 3 countries – USA, Australia and Canada.
He has gained expertise over that time in the areas of Outpatient Orthopedics,
Inpatient Orthopedics, Hospital General Medical, Neurological Rehab, Home Care, Long Term Care, Assisted Living and Group Home Care. He is skilled in Guided Exercise Therapy, Manual therapy, Ultrasound, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, Tissue Distraction Release, Shockwave therapy, Soft tissue manual techniques, Biomodulator therapy, Balance and Gait Re-education, and E-stim for pain and muscle strength.
Anthony aims to allow his clients to FEEL better, MOVE better, to get back to what they need and love to do, and work with them to reach their own goals for activity. Melissa attended the Alberta Institute of Massage in 2013. After graduating she began her massage career in Rocky Mountain House. Some of the extended courses she has taken include Pre/Postnatal, Myofascial Cupping, Orthopedic massage for the neck and shoulder.
Melissa and her family enjoy camping adventures in the summer and an array of winter sports when the snow is here.
